To be a disco DJ and play american music here in Poland when communist time - was real life risk for me. Not so much pleasure and good bizz as for west / free world DJs !! Secret political Police (SB) killed many people for smallest reason. Why I'm alive ? Well maybe I'm lucky or God saved me of His reason and way ? - - ->> or they (SB) thought (because lack of knowledge, informations, etc.) DJ work not any danger for communism ... But today we know DJs work and discos changed some / many young Poles mind and they fall in love to other style of life than communists want for them :-))))) Anyway Americans (USA President, Music Bizz, Media, Record Companies, DJ's, etc.) should give me special award and serious FUND for all I did for spread, popularise american music, culture and style of life in Poland and put my small brick to build freedom here - same what Mr. Walensa did but he did much bigger size / scale ofcourse. Place for my name in any 'DJ Hall of Fame' is nothing compare to what I deserve in fact / in real !! Marty Angelo - real and true 'DJ Hall of Fame' creator understand above perfect way !! I not deserve to be treat as piece of sh*t instead of to honour me best possible way if I'm still alive (65) ... |

Pawul is a disco DJ, historian, noted author, and one of the early 1970's era
DJ's. Here is his idea for a screenplay.
"My film idea is autobiographical in nature: a
look back at the disco scene in Poland during the communist era of my
youth. A sentimental retelling of the story of being a DJ behind the iron
curtain when disco hit in the 1970's. But the story is not only about me
- it is about the world at that time, and the stories of other East Bloc DJs
and sound mixers. This is the story of people seeking freedom - and the
birth of artistic expression in the dancehalls and discos of the communist
Eastern Bloc."
I have many ideas to discuss, including:
1) the use of Soviet era film equipment to perfectly
recreate the vibe of the communist era here in Poland.
2) the packaging of a unique soundtrack of rare
1970's dance music. This includes early disco tracks for which we already
have the copyright permissions.
3) the packaging of DVD's
4) promotional events which would include live
appearances of legendary 1970's DJ's and other progenitors of the 1970's dance
music scene.

I’m looking serious screenwriter, producer, director whose are interested to write and realise movie about an polish deejay / DISCJOKEY who is real disco pioneer of ’70 – who did his deejay work with american records / music and his live behind ‘Iron Curtain’ – back deep communist era ’70 in Poland.
You can not even imagine how
hard and dangerous it was ?! I mean
communists persecutions everyday and live like a slave. All because of deejay
passion and love to USA-R&B-Disco dance music !!!
Deejay who had many USA and
UK friends and cooperation – deejay who did popularise many USA and UK hits /
music / artists in communist Poland - what creates a lot of very, very serious political / communist Police
and live problems for him and his family.
This story criticise
communist system back then in '70 - on the base of an polish discjockey live.
I was disco deejay 1970 (of the day
"zero" for worldwide disco idea - as I call)

VERY IMPORTANT IS THAT MUSIC ILLUSTRATE TO THE MOVIE /
FILM. MY IDEA FOR THIS - IS TO USE all those beautiful BEST USA

I KNOW HOW TO USE IT AND WHAT TRACKS
(because I play this music in the discotheques
over last 40 years).

I watch film market and I know if good screenplay, actors, producers - then chance to make serious and good movie and multiple success, because idea is incredible.
This theme is not exploited yet - I mean deejay behind
Iron Curtain story. Can you imagine life style here then ? No one know in fact
everyday details which were terrible.
But what happend to this deejay - main role - it is
story separate. Billy! - everybody have interesting life this or other way. But
deejay behind Iron Curtain late 60, 70, 80 and later …
It is the best idea story and chance for Oscar or any
other film awards. This is story based on my life ofcourse.
There is a lot scenes I see - remember as great for movie:

cinema and so impressed I forgot way back to home :-)
* listen and learn deejay profession from Radio
